[Icehouse] Icehouse / Treehouse forum?

It's been suggested several times, but some of the people here strongly
prefer the mailing list system, and the people who strongly prefer the forum
system obviously aren't on the mailing list to voice an opinion. Last I
heard, someone was looking into it, that was a while ago.
A 3am rant follows. Read at your own risk.
I personally hate the mailing list system. But unless I want to wade through
the wiki's terrible discussion format, or sign up for some horrible social
networking site, this is my only way to discuss Looney goings-on. I'm sorry
if I sound bitter, but there are days when I am audibly notified about a new
email every five minutes, only to discover every time that it's just yet
another person explaining (at length, usually) his opinion on just what
algorithm is best for determining 4th, 5th, and 6th place in the some game
contest, all the time knowing that under a forum system, I could ignore
topics that don't interest me without getting the false hope that someone
actually has business with me. And don't get me started on people who reply
to "Icehouse Digest Volume 45,678 Issue 62," breaking gmail's perfect forum
thread view and shattering a topic into two arbitrarily separate subject
titles.
