Interesting, indeed. A couple of questions:
1) Can we embed images from that POVray library; i.e. use it as a
repository for the various configurations you describe above, plus
others?
2) Can it render against a transparent background or only that
checkerboard "space"?
3) Can it render "above" or "side" flat straight-on views, or only those
perspective views?
