Purple is a cool color? Not to my eyes. The more I think about it,
the less it seems to fit well anywhere in the warm/cool spectrum.
It's sort of the wraparound point on the color circle where blue/cool
meets red/warm.

And I still don't think the cyan/blue correspondence is any more
obvious than cyan/green. The original "Andy-preferred" mapping makes
*everything* work out closely, wherease the "James" one has a big
green/purple stretch.

Maybe the big difference in opinion is coming from the direction
people are using to connect the Homeworlds colors. If you start with
Rainbow and try to find corresponding Xeno colors, you tend to wind
up with several good choices and one oddball. But if you start with
the Xeno colors and look for appropriate matches, you might more
often get the one I and Rob (and, at the beginning, Andy) like, with
all of the colors making some sort of intuitive sense.
