On May 13th this year the Daily Illuminator had a blog
about manufacturing with sugar, linking to this site:
http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/candyfab
They're basically doing 3D printing/fabrication using
sugar as a cheap and safe material, but they are not
really making food.
I have no experience with industrial engineering and
design, but this may be a path to hard candy pyramids.
Alternatively or in addition, with Andy posting that
plastic is costing more, this may currently or soon be
the best material for the main Treehouse/Icehouse line.

============================================
Theorem:
All numbers are equal.
Proof:
Choose arbitrary a and b, and let t = a + b.
(a + b)(a - b) = t(a - b)
a^2 - b^2 = ta - tb
a^2 - ta = b^2 - tb
a^2 - ta + (t^2)/4 = b^2 - tb + (t^2)/4
(a - t/2)^2 = (b - t/2)^2
a - t/2 = b - t/2
a = b
