No.
Everyone can use that card as a wild card.
It only kills your hand if you have a matching card in your hand.

I.E.  the last card is a 2 of hearts.
It is wild for everyone. If you already have a 2 in your hand, it kills your
hand.

Hope that clears up the poker question.

Wait, what? So, the card is wild, but you can't USE it as a wildcard?
All you have is an Ace High? The only way to win with that card is if
everyone else has nothing and nobody has an ace?
