Carol and everyone else,
It is a combo of factors for me - I don't teach a subject that Earth Day
would apply to and the time of the year is indeed crazy busy. That combined
with me finishing my grad work and developing a curriculum for a games
centered class for next year has me running like crazy.
As for the Looney Academy, the site is just ok imo. The lesson plans are
neat but they are just kind of there. Without a forum there is really no
way to give feedback, discuss successful use, discuss changes we possibly
made, or have the community post ideas or their own lesson plans. Granted,
I'm a big fan of forums and actively participate in several so I do have a
forum bias, but for the Looney Academy to really take off I think there
needs to be a way other than a listserv to exchange ideas, documents, etc.
my 2 gold stars,
-Ryan
