In case it hasn't been said:

Tree farms are farms, not forests. They should not be counted as 
forests or wildlife areas. They require fertilizers to replace 
nutrients and pesticides to control blights. The trees in a tree farm 
are not of many species, and undergrowth and other is kept to a 
minimum. Counting the number of trees in the country and proclaiming 
environmental success is not enough, it's like counting wheat fields as 
wild grassland.
